In general, my one betting rule is to not bet on my own team (PHI Eagles). However, with the streak I’ve been on in the playoffs, 3-0 on parlays, it would be doing a disservice to those who tail my picks if I did not put something together for the big game. So, with that said…
Three Leg Parlay
Leg One- Travis Kelce Over 60.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
If you watched the WAS vs PHI championship game you may have seen this pick coming. Veteran TE Zach Ertz had one of his best games of the year versus an otherwise stout Eagles defense. With that Travis Kelce, who most would say is a superior TE, is set to have a stellar week matched up against Zack Baun and Reed Blankenship. Their play style may lead you to take the receptions line rather than the yards but, the “bend don’t break” mentality of the Philly D suits the yardage line more. I am expecting plenty of 3rd and long situations where Kelce gets a 10 yard reception after finding a soft spot in the zone.
Leg Two- Jalen Hurts Over 36.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
I chose the Josh Allen rushing under last week so why the Hurts rushing over this week? It’s a pretty simple reasoning named Saquon Barkley. With Barkley as a rushing threat in the backfield it makes it difficult for Steve Spagnuolo to sell out on stopping Hurts’ legs like he did with Allen. We actually saw the inverse in the BUF vs KC matchup with James Cook having a day while Allen was bottled up. There is always a chance that Bolton is able to keep a good spy on Hurts and not allow for any off-script scrambles but, there is just a good chance of a designed run going for 30. All in all, I think this line is simply too low. If by game time it has crept up to 40 I would start to become hesitant.
Leg Three- Philadelphia Eagles +5.5 (-235)
Teasing game lines is one of my favorite things to do when it comes to building parlays. This last leg was bound to be whatever team was listed as the underdog. I expect a very close match up, similar to what we got a few years ago. My bias will show through slightly with these next lines. I think the Eagles’ roster is more complete from top to bottom. So, give me the “better team” plus five and a half points please.
Three Leg Parlay (+346)
Fun Longshots
If you really want to just throw a few bucks on some longshot bets these are the two I’m taking. And yes you will notice they will both be Eagles focused!
Cooper DeJean to Record an Interception (+1500)
Rookie DB in the Super Bowl, yeah count me in. He is a cornerback after all!
Grant Calcaterra Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+2100)
He has been rather quiet this postseason but was a major factor at key points in the regular season. My crystal ball shows a fake tush push TD going to Calcaterra (being the 2nd best trick play in Eagles SB history)
